Project 52: Week 25 ~ Silhouette

Get this!  I forgot 2 weeks in a row to do this!  Summer is just getting very busy.  This is my oldest boy.  We had a rain day today but boy things are getting green outside and the garden is growing like crazy now.  In fact the rain saved me a half a days work, as I was going to have to do some watering today!  :)

Project 52: Week 22 ~ Technology

Ahhh....Technology!  Sometimes I love it and sometimes I despise it!  I love it as a learning and communicating tool, but I despise how distracted it makes my kids.  I hate when I have to chase them outside to play or get their jobs done.  So for the summer we have a new rule around our house.  No electronics unless it is raining!!  We MAY make exception to the rule OCCASIONALLY.  ;)

Project 52: Week 21 ~ Laughter {The Best Medicine}

Happy Birthday to my 2 year old!! Now here is a girl who knows how to laugh and have a good time!  Her favorite current passtime is jumping on the tramp outside.  I can hardly keep her off of it ~ not that I want to!  :)  From her older sisters she has learned a fun game where they spell "B-U-M" and then land on their behinds to see who will get sent flying the highest in the air! 


So at the age of 2,  her first word she spells is B-U-M!

Project 52: Week 20 ~ MOTHER

Another week snuck by on me again, but this week has been seriously unreal.  On Tuesday afternoon as we (my sister-in-laws and I) were at my husband's parents place helping clean and pack for their big moving day, which is today, we noticed a big cloud of smoke puffing up over the hill from their place.  It was the so windy that we grabbed the phone and called 911 immediately knowing that it couldn't be anything good.  Well it turns out it had been reported and it turned into what will go down in history for this area as the "Green Valley Wild Fire". http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/story/22265836/minn-wildfire-25-percent-contained
My husband who is on the fire department fought the fire until wee hours of the morning that first night with wind and fire raging and spreading over 10 miles long and two miles wide.  And just yesterday finished doing some clean up in the area.  Everyone around here is a little exhausted from all the excitement and emotional stress. 
Which brings me to the end of the week with no picture again, but I remembered about this picture I had taken a couple months ago when my sister-in-law after a pregnancy with many complications gave birth to a beautfil tiny little baby girl.  I went with her one day to help her drive the hour and a half stretch to be with her baby for the day. I captured this love a mother has for her babies.

Okay so I am obsessed with taking pictures of my baby, but she just keeps getting cuter and cuter every day!  :)  Every time I take some more pictures I like them better than the last ones.  So here are my current favorites!   

 

Project 52: Week 19 ~ Night

Well I was MIA last week cause I forgot about this, and guess what??  I forgot again this week.  {Blame it on baby brain! ;) }  So...I just went and found this picture from last summer.  A bonfire with family, what is better?  Can't wait to do it again this summer!!
