Ya, I know this isn't the first time this has been done.  Like people shovel snow off the tramp all the time in anticipation of warm weather coming.  Seriously, the tramp was weighed down in snow before this 6 year old decided it was time for a jump.  I saw him muscling a HUGE mound off onto the ground and grabbed my camera too late.  He was determined to do it, and not too long later the tramp was completely dry!  It has occupied much of their time since.  :)

I have been dreaming about going downhill skiing again.  The last time was probably 7 or 8 years ago, man time flies!  This year my dream is coming true.  Next week, hubby and I are going to hit the slopes in north eastern Minnesota.  I'm sure the mountains here don't quite compare to Colorado, where we were skiing last time, but I know it is going to be fun none the less.  My next dream is to take the kids some day.  Saturday proved to be a perfect day for the kids to get a small feel of it.  We have this perfect little hill right in our back yard for them {and mom} to get a little speed on their cross country skis.  The snow temperature was perfect as well, and you could get a nice wind blowing in your hair as your made a run down!  Ahh......can't wait til next week! {Hopefully I am not too old for this!!}

My poor baby loves is getting teeth.  She has been unbearable for the last few days and won't let me get near her mouth.  This morning I was able to quickly pry her top lip back and found swollen purple gums with not 1, not 2 or 3 but 4 new teeth trying to make their way through.  No wonder why she is so miserable!!  This mama sat in the recliner with her for 2 hours during the night, after giving her ibuprofen, while she tried to get comfortable again.  Here is one of her rare smiles from the last week.

We had some fun exciting company this weekend!  My brother and his wife stayed with us and they are following our pattern with birth order so there is lots of fun friends to play with.

After a storm comes a calm.

Having a great feeling of calmness after a long ride through the mountains over a snowy pass. I went for a long weekend trip to Colorado to see my sister-in-law's new little baby girl.  We were supposed to be home late Sunday evening/early Monday morning, but after a 12 hour ride to Denver, which was supposed to take 3.5 hours, we opted to get a few hours of sleep on the other side of the mountain pass before continuing our journey.

Here is the lovely lady we went to visit!  After 9 months of waiting also, a sense of calm settles in 

when baby has arrived.  She is just perfect!
